Delete Your Deckberry Account
Last updated: 14 July 2026
This page explains how to delete your account in the Deckberry flashcard app (operated by Onur Ozgur OZKAN, trading as Deckberry, United Kingdom), and what happens to your data when you do. You do not need the app installed to request deletion.
Option 1 — Delete from the app
- Open the Deckberry app and sign in.
- Go to Profile.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Your account is deactivated immediately.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you no longer have the app installed, email hello@deckberry.com from the email address on your account with the subject “Delete my account”. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address to make sure it really is you. We action deletion requests within one month, usually much sooner.
What is deleted
When your account is deleted, we remove the personal data we hold about you within 30 days:
- Your account — email address, sign-in credentials, and sign-in tokens.
- Your study data — the decks you added, per-card study state, your review history, and deck ratings.
- Data stored on your device (downloaded decks, offline progress) is removed when you uninstall the app.
What is kept, and for how long
- Records we must keep by law — for example purchase records for tax purposes — are retained for the legally required period.
- Published creator decks may remain available to learners who already downloaded them, but are no longer attributed to any personal data.
- Encrypted backups expire on a rolling schedule; deleted data falls out of backups as they expire.
- Crash reports already sent to our error-monitoring provider are retained for a limited period (typically 90 days), then deleted.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — payments are managed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Cancel the subscription in your store account settings.
