Getting started

What Deckberry is for creators

How creators build and share spaced-repetition decks on Deckberry.

On this page

Deckberry is a learning app built on one simple loop: a learner studies a card, says how well they recalled it, and the app schedules it to come back at just the right time. As a creator, you make the decks people study.

Your role

You build decks — collections of cards — and publish them for learners to study. A card is usually a question and its answer; some cards hold a fill-in-the-blank sentence or an image. You decide what a deck teaches, write the cards, and choose when it goes live. Everything happens in the web editor — you never need the mobile app to create.

What you don’t have to think about is the hard part: when each card should reappear. That scheduling — spaced repetition — is the app’s job. Yours is to write cards worth remembering.

What makes a good deck

A great deck isn’t the biggest one — it’s the one people finish and come back to. That comes down to a handful of habits: one fact per card, fronts that ask a real question, a size learners can complete, and answers they can honestly grade. The deck craft pages cover each with real examples.

Where to go next

  • New to the idea? Read what spaced repetition is — one short page, then never think about it again.
  • Want the whole picture fast? The 10-minute overview is the single read before your first deck.
  • Ready to build? The editor tour walks you from a blank deck to published.
